February 24th has long been celebrated by Twin Peaks fans globally as a special day, since it is the first day of the Laura Palmer investigation that begins the TV series. The towns of Snoqualmie and North Bend, where much of the original pilot, film, and revival of the series was shot, voted to upgrade today to an official day of celebration, "Twin Peaks Day!" Celebrate the first moment Agent Cooper and the rest of us first entered the town of Twin Peaks in the clip below.

The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (1990) Audiobook & Paperback
At the height of Twin Peaks' popularity, at the end of its first season, series creators Mark Frost and David Lynch commissioned Lynch's daughter Jennifer to write a media tie-in novel The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (1990). But unlike many other media tie-in novels, this book received special attention from popular culture as Twin Peaks fever spread across the nation, and the most asked question by TV viewers was, "Who killed Laura Palmer?"
