Buffy and Angel

When my Buffy and Angel fan edit is viewed in context after the first two fan edits, we see a very clear picture of how Angel has gone from secretly longing for Buffy, to becoming a helpful mysterious stranger who helps point her in the right direction, to becoming one of her most important allies. Buffy and Angel's relationship begins in earnest now as Buffy learns more about Angel and his motivations for helping her, slowly realizing Angel is completely besotted with her.
Knowing what we know now from Angel's backstory in ANGELUS, here Angel is clearly afraid that Buffy will not accept his help if she knew he was a vampire. And not just any vampire, but a particularly vicious one that terrorized Europe for a century. The romantic and sexual tension is very strong between the two characters and the actors seem particularly well matched for this burgeoning relationship. The magic really starts here and it starts off exceptionally strong.
In fact, this relationship will come to be the defining plotline that drives both Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) and its spinoff Angel (1999-2004). Without it, there is arguably no show. At least the serialized aspect of the show. It is easily the most important source of conflict and eventually casts its shadow across the rest of these series after it seemingly ends. By the end of the series, it is still left open ended whether or not they will get back together eventually. Download Here
