Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings from Twin Peaks) Rest in Peace

I am sad to write that one of the sweetest women in the world, Peggy Lipton, passed away yesterday on May 11, 2019. Although she was 72 years old, you could hardly tell by looking at her. By all accounts, she was a remarkable mother, a talented actress, and a pop culture icon that helped inspire a generation of girls and young women. I want to take a moment away from my revisions and editing of my 40 Years of David Lynch series of books to join in mourning with the rest of the world over the loss of this incredible woman and truly memorable performer.

Science Fiction Legend Harlan Ellison Passes Away

Harlan Ellison passed away on June 27, 2018, five days ago. When I first heard on Twitter, I felt shattered. It is not like I personally knew him, but from the interviews and documentaries I have seen of him, I almost feel like I did. He was a man who lived a full life, doing what he loved, and was constantly fighting against the injustices of humankind. He fought for people to respect Science Fiction as a legitimate art form and he certainly helped contribute more than his fair share of great work to help prove he was correct.

Roy Dotrice (1923-2017) Passes Away RIP

Beloved British character actor Roy Dotrice passed away yesterday, October 16, 2017. He had numerous supporting roles in film and television, with 120 listed acting credits on the IMDb. Having been born shortly after World War I ended in 1923, Roy and his family were displaced by the Germans in War War II, prompting him to lie about his age and join the British Royal Air Force as a precocious lad of just 16 years.

Harry Dean Stanton R.I.P. (1926-2017)

The great actor Harry Dean Stanton joins the chorus of angels yesterday afternoon after passing away from natural causes on September 15, 2017 at age 91. Harry Dean was born on July 14, 1926 in Kentucky and grew up during the Great Depression when economic hardship was at its most difficult in the United States of America. His thin, bedraggled appearance feels born out of that era, providing a constant reminder of our nation's leanest years.
